About Us

We're on a mission to understand Arabic social media

MARSAD was founded to create a comprehensive platform for analyzing and visualizing social media data across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Our Story

From research to innovation

MARSAD (Monitoring and Analysing Social Networks Topics in the MENA Region) was developed as part of "The Future of Digital Citizenship in Qatar: A Socio-Technical Approach," led by Dr. Wajdi Zaghouani from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).

Our platform addresses a significant gap in existing social media monitoring tools by providing specialized support for various Arabic dialects, enabling researchers and institutions to gain valuable insights into online discourse across the MENA region.
